We all like to peek at elders. Have a peek at the world of judo. You too will wear the black belt one day. This giant coach Hrvoje Petranović, who won a lot of gold medals as the judo champion of Croatia, and who now coaches Croatian male and female senior judo champions – he was once as small as you. In fact, so small, they nicknamed him Marble. Just go ahead. Choose sport. Choose judo.

The goal of the project Choose Sport is mass inclusion of children into sport, and the creation of habits of long term involvement with sport. The project addresses the general population of school children, but its target group are children in adverse social standing and thus in risk of social exclusion (children with unemployed parents, whose parents receive children’s benefits, without appropriate parenting, those from single parent families, from families with three or more children, and those children with behavioral issues). The children are given free memberships in the judo clubs of the Zagreb Judo Union: the judo club “Lika“ and the judo club “Zagreb,“ where they also receive free sports equipment – a judo kimono.
