Merrily we go along with the implementation of the project Choose Sport in the Zagreb primary school Horvati. We are learning about the Olympic sports from the picture books Kid Athletes together with the school teacher Nikolina Jakobenov.

The goal of the project Choose Sport is mass inclusion of children into sport, and the creation of habits of long term involvement with sport. The project addresses the general population of school children, but its target group are children in adverse social standing and thus in risk of social exclusion (children with unemployed parents, whose parents receive children’s benefits, without appropriate parenting, those from single parent families, from families with three or more children, and those children with behavioral issues). The children are given free memberships in the judo clubs of the Zagreb Judo Union.

The implementation of the project is co-financed by EU, from the European Social Fund.
