Hrvoje Petranović is our trophy winning judo contestant, and today he is the coach of the trophy winning Judo Club Zagreb, champions of Croatia in the category of seniors, and a trainer within the project Choose Sport. This is because Hrvoje supports the goal of the project: sport is not a luxury a child has no access to, because his or her parents cannot afford sports equipment, such as sneakers, jumpsuits or a kimono. Sport is not here for the divisions into haves and not haves; sport is there for us to be together in games, merriment, wins and losses. Sport has a social value in the upbringing and development of children and youth, because it introduces the habits of healthy life styles. Choose sport and train with Hrvoje.

The project Choose Sport, by procuring sports gear – judo kimonos – and through free memberships to judo clubs – enables all children doing sports, regardless of social differences. It is financed by the European Social Fund, and is being implemented with a partner, the Zagreb Judo Union and 12 primary schools in Zagreb.
