The judo club Rijeka also trains male and female judo volunteers, who give their time in order to help the children with developmental difficulties in joint training sessions, so they too could train according to the adjusted judo program. This does not come out of the blue; even the father of judo, Jigoro Kano, thought of judo, first and foremost, as an skill for upbringing, where we are taught we are here for mutual help and joint prosperity.
