The association Pokret- aktivan i zdrav (Movement – Active and Healthy) have invited 12 primary schools from the area of the City of Zagreb to get involved and participate in the implementation of the project “Choose Sport,” which is supported by the Ministry of Demographics, Family, Youth and Social Policies and the Central State Office for Sport, and which is financed by the European Social Fund.

Sport is not a luxury to which the child has no access to, for the reason his or her parents cannot afford sneakers, jumpsuit or a kimono. Sport is a right and a need of contemporary man, a factor of health, it has social value in upbringing and development of children and youth, because it introduces the habits of healthy life styles. The project “Choose Sport“(UP.02.1.1.08.0008), through the procurement of sports gear – judo kimonos – and free enrolment into judo clubs – enables all children to do sports regardless of social differences. It is financed by the European Social Fund, and is being implemented together with a partner, the Zagreb Judo Union, in cooperation with 12 primary schools in Zagreb.
